Description
This picture was taken @ Creamer Field in Fairbanks Alaska @ the end of December when the temperature was about 15 below zero. The sun comes up in a corner of the sky around 10:30 AM and is gone by 2:00 that afternoon, so you get a very soft light. With the temperature down to 15 below zero you get the beautiful ice on the trees and bushes. Creamer Field is a preserve where many types of wildlife and birds are viewed. There is a snowshoe trail to explore in this field so you can really view the area up close and personal!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments! When the temperature is well below zero, everything crystalizes and it makes the most magical scene. The soft light at the end of December since the sun comes up in the corner of the sky for a couple hours before it goes back down adds a special soft light to the scene.
